Development Activity MTSS personnel are planning experts. We should, our subject matter specialists have been providing professional plans for decades now. But even the best plan is not even worth the paper it is printed on if no one knows what is in it! Plans only work, if they’ve been thoroughly tested. We start by asking the people we are working for what happened the last time. Questions include: what worked, what did not, and why. Then we tailor your plan to the individual variables appropriate to your situation (geography, demography, topography, strategic threat, etc). Then, after the draft is approved, we provide “plain English” training for the key stakeholders. Any lessons we take away are immediately incorporated into the next version. We then vet the plan at a table top exercise where the people who have to live with the plan have their first chance to subject it to a thorough shakedown and validate the training they have received on it. Lessons learned are again immediately incorporated into the ensuing revision as necessary. Walk through follow the table top where more realism is brought to bare to further stress the both the plan. As appropriate, we revise the plan again, ensure the client knows how to keep the document alive through regularly scheduled review and training and deliver a penultimate version to our POC. Our personnel have developed training and exercises on COOPs, COGs, CBRNE terrorism, ICS, JICs, natural disasters, Information Systems Security, and IT Disaster Recovery. Our principals regularly create curriculum and delivery it at the college and professional certification level in a variety of areas besides these mentioned above including management, leadership, communications, and other intrapersonal skill areas. |
